Isla del Sol: According to Inca legend this small island in the middle of Lake Titicaca was home to the sun god Inti, and was the mythical birthplace of the original founders of the Inca Empire. Colca Canyon Tour: A relaxed mix of bus rides and walking for those who cannot stay 4 or 5 days in Arequipa to do a difficult trek.

We recommend spending at least 2 nights in Arequipa so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the “White City” (a nickname for Arequipa which comes from its architecture of white volcanic sillar stone). You can visit Colca Canyon from here, the second biggest canyon on the planet. You can also visit Misti, an impressive snow-capped volcano overlooking the city. If planning a tour/trek of Colca Canyon make sure to add a day or 2 to your schedule. Ask our guides if you need some help deciding!

Our buses follow a specific route and you can hop-on and hop-off at each of our destinations whenever you like, according to our timetable. Your pass is valid for 1 year in 1 direction, so you can stay as long as you want in 1 place or just follow our recommended schedule!
Once you book a ticket, you will get your unique reservation code on your booking confirmation that gives you access to the HOP LOGIN. There, you’ll be able to change your travel dates, pick-up locations and put your pass on hold. It’s that simple! All changes to your itinerary have to be made a MINIMUM OF 12 HOURS BEFORE YOUR NEXT DEPARTURE DATE!
We accept tour reservations on our buses but we always recommend reserving tours in advance and paying securely online via FindLocalTrips.com to avoid costly ATM withdrawal fees and currency exchange rate charges.

Yellow fever vaccination is not required unless you’re planning to visit the jungle side of either country. As we do not cover these destinations located in the northeastern region of Peru and Bolivia, it is not necessary to have a proof of vaccination to travel with Peru Hop.

Peru Hop is an EXTREMELY punctual service, especially compared to other Peruvian bus companies who are unfortunately late a lot (as can be seen from their tripadvisor reviews). If you have a tour or hotel booked and in the very rare case our bus is late, our onboard guides will help you by calling your tours and hotels to assist you as much as possible, but really this should never happen on Peru Hop.
