Is traveling to Peru safe right now?

Are there any travel restrictions in Peru?

There are NO travel restrictions or requirements in Peru.

Can I cross the border from Peru to Bolivia?

Yes, the border from Peru to Bolivia and vice versa is open and completely safe.

Are Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail open?

Machu Picchu has been open as normal for some time now, as well as the Inca Trail and all other tours/treks that make way to one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

We recommend planning and booking as soon as possible. There’s a limit on the amount of visitors per day and every day there are more travelers coming to Peru to visit Machu Picchu.

Are the Machu Picchu trains operating?

Is Dengue an issue in Peru?

Peru is a very diverse country, from tourist hot spots to jungle villages that are almost inaccessible, and from the extremely wealthy to the extremely poor. As a result, there are some towns that can be affected by hygiene issues and diseases. 99% of the places where tourists go will have no issues with any diseases such as Dengue or anything else.
