Nazca to Lima by Bus: How to Get There

Nazca to Lima by Bus: 2020 updated information about schedules, safety, and how to book!

The city of Nazca is home to the world-famous Nazca Lines, one of Peru’s most iconic attractions. Located about six hours south of Lima, Nazca also makes a great stop-off point for travelers heading from the coast to highland destinations like Cusco or Puno. Between Nazca and Lima, you’ll find the charming seaside town of Paracas, the departure point for the scenic Paracas National Reserve and the Ballestas Islands (sometimes referred to as the “poor man’s Galápagos”). Keep reading to learn more about how to travel from Nazca to Lima by bus.

Nazca to Lima

While Nazca does have its own airport, this is primarily used by small planes which run flights over the Nazca Lines for tourists. Commercial flights from Lima and other cities are rare, and this is not a common way to travel between the two cities. Instead, most visitors opt to travel from Nazca to Lima by bus, with the added bonus of visiting some interesting stops along the way.

The best way to see all those off-the-beaten-track destinations is to take Peru Hop, a flexible hop on hop off bus service which travels from Lima through southern Peru up to the border with Bolivia where it connects with sister company Bolivia Hop. Peru Hop allows you to adjust your itinerary as you go, allowing you to spend more time in your favorite places and skip the places you don’t find as interesting. It’s an amazing way to travel, and gives you the chance to create the perfect travel experience just for you!

Peru Hop places great importance on the comfort level of its passengers. All buses come with “semi-cama” reclining seats, each with their own USB port to charge digital devices at each seat. Each bus also has an English-speaking guide onboard to give information about the places you’re visiting and help with booking hostels, hotels, and extra tours. All Peru Hop buses also offer direct hostel and hotel pick-up and drop-off, meaning you won’t need to deal with the stress of a bus terminal in a strange city, many of which are located in dangerous areas of town.

Peru Hop’s safety record is outstanding, an important aspect to consider when picking a bus company in Peru. All Peru Hop buses travel at safe speeds with experienced and professional drivers. Our buses only travel along major highways for the entire trip, avoiding the isolated side roads where hijackings sometimes take place. All Peru Hop buses are monitored via GPS tracking system 24 hours a day in order to prevent any unplanned stops or detours. If safety is your top priority, Peru Hop is definitely the best bus service to get from Nazca to Lima.
