Day 1: Lima – Chincha – Paracas
Journey out to the beautiful beach town of Paracas just a few hours south from the capital. You’ll be picked up early morning directly from your hotel in Lima with our private transport for a comfortable drive. On our way, we’ll make a stop at the unique bread oven which has Peru’s freshest bread. Once in Paracas, you will have time to explore and fully enjoy the small town. Chill on the and catch an unforgettable sunset or enjoy some of Peru’s tastiest seafood overlooking the Pacific ocean.

Day 2: Paracas – Huacachina
It’s an early start to the day with a 2 hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas Islands are Peru’s smaller version of the Galapagos Islands, and just as great. You’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in their natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you may even see a dolphin or three! Once we finish our adventures at sea, we will switch to the bus and head out and explore the Paracas National Reserve – one of South America’s biggest protected desert reserves. From there, we make our way to the only natural desert oasis in South America: Huacachina. End the day with a thrilling Dunebuggy & Sandboarding tour through some of the biggest sand dunes you’ll ever see!

Day 3: Huacachina – Nazca – Arequipa
Today we head further south to Nazca, where the mysterious Nazca Lines are sketched on the desert floor. Nazca was once home to the Nazca Culture who were known for their distinctive pottery, textiles, and the geoglyphs that were drawn. You’ll have free time to roam around the desert city and discover some of it’s landmarks like Plaza de Armas!

Day 4: Arequipa
Arrive to the wonderful city of Arequipa, also known as “The White City”. Free time to explore Arequipa. Visit the famous monastery of Saint Catalina, indulge in the delectable cuisine of this region, or simply join a free walking tour of this beautiful city! On this day the Ruta del Sillar Tour is included where you’ll learn about the carving and extraction process of the ashlar, emblematic material of Arequipa. Enjoy the culture and experience of the stonecutters.

Day 5: Colca Canyon – Arequipa
Explore the second deepest canyon in the world and see the Andean condor up close in its natural habitat in this full day tour. You’ll start the day early to make way to the Colca Canyon where you’ll have the chance to see pre-Inca terraces along the valley, and take photos with llamas and alpacas.

Day 6: Arequipa – Puno – Cusco
After pick ups early morning, we head south on a scenic drive to Puno. We’ll go through the Altiplano, a vast, windswept plateau nestled between the Andes mountains. Puno is a small town filled with culture and history in every corner and is said to have been where the Inca Empire began after the first Incas emerged from Lake Titicaca. Here, you’ll journey out to the Floating Islands of Uros in the middle of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Once our journey through the Islands is over, we’ll make our way to the Inca capital, Cusco.

Day 7: Cusco
Arrive to the once capital of the Inca empire, Cusco. Here you’ll have free time to acclimatize and take it easy. Perfect to explore the city and enjoy what it has to offer. You can visit the Plaza de Armas (main square), Mercado San Pedro (local market), or just stroll through the small, picturesque roads.

Day 8: Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu
Today we begin our Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu 2 Day Tour. First we make way in train to the Sacred Valley, with towns such as Pisac and Ollantaytambo, which is regularly hailed as one of the most important historical places of South America, and was extremely important for the Incas. We will visit Inca architecture and ruins, markets and more. To finish the day, we reach Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Here we will settle into our accommodation, have a stroll through the small, picturesque town and get to bed to have a good nights sleep for the big day ahead of us.

Day 9: Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu – Cusco
The most awaited activity is finally here: Machu Picchu. We wake up early, have breakfast and take the first bus up to Machu Picchu to enter the site as it opens. Once we arrive our 2-hour guided tour of the Inca citadel begins. You learn all about the Incas while you visit all the important areas of the ruins. After your tour, you’ll have free time to explore the site by yourself and to climb either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain if you had requested previously. After enjoying one of the 7 Wonders of the World, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there head back to Cusco in a private transport.

Day 10: Cusco – ATV Quad Bikes

After a trip full of adventure, amazing scenery and unforgettable experiences, the South of Peru – 11 Day Tour ends with a full day tour to the beautiful Rainbow Mountain. We start the hike early to beat the crowds and get the best views of these colorful Andean mountains striped with many different colors. It’s definitely a scene which will leave you with your jaw wide open. After the wonderful hike, we head back to Cusco where we say sadly say goodbye. But we’re sure that it won’t be the last time we all see each other!
